Thank you Wanda,

I do appreciate the time you spent with me to explore the possibilities of a World Class Symphonic Performance Pavilion at TEP.  As we discussed, I am available should any of your officers like to talk.  Dan

PS:  The Arts Forum for Candidates is October 11th @ Tucson Art Museum.
(time tba later)

Bradley and I showed up at the Ward 4 Back to School Bash.  What a great event.  This is certainly a tradition that I will want to continue when elected.  I always enjoy watching families having fun together.  This event is also a wonderful opportunity for the firemen and police to interact with the crowd.  I understand ‘most’ of the police and firemen came on their own time.  Otherwise that would be a significant cost of taxpayer dollars ‘for a party’.  It makes you wonder how much of today’s party was charged off to Ward 4 or was that expensed to Shirley’s campaign money.   Did you ever wonder how much of our tax dollars actually go for essential services?

In addition to meeting a lot of voters, I got to meet with Joe Scott, Shirley’s husband.  What a nice guy.  They are really nice people.  Bradley and I were shaded most of the time but it was still plenty hot.  Shirley actually came out and gave me a couple bottles of water for Bradley and me.  That was very nice of her, especially after one of her staff people ‘tried’ to tell me I couldn’t give out my business cards in a public park!  Unfortunately, this politics is a dirty business.  The Scott’s are nice people.  In golf, match play has two players play against each other.  One wins, the other looses.  I am old enough to remember when Jack Nicholas came up behind Arnold Palmer.  What a great rivalry.  To be followed by a young Tiger Woods who took over when their careers ended.  So it is in politics.  Dear Blogger reader, if you want a ‘New Vision for Tucson’ please vote for me on November 6th.  I will be certain the party continues and it won’t be expensed to the taxpayers!  Dan
