Open House

Dear Friends,

Last night we had our first fundraising event, an ‘Open House’ in my home. I was grateful for those 10 or 12 people who attended. It gave me an opportunity to enlist their participation. We discussed in detail the web site, we have a temporary web page at www.DanSpahr2007.com . Shortly, we will be finishing up some tweaks then throwing the switch on the ‘voter interactive’ web site. This site is a work in process; we hope to improve it periodically as the campaign unfolds.

Last night we picked up $290.00. So to date, we have had 13 contributions totaling $970.00. I intend to ask friends and neighbors to have similar events in their homes (and/or offices). Requests for contributions have gone out to all 260 Precinct Chairmen. Soon we will have the ‘200 individual donations’ to qualify for ‘matching funds’ from the City of Tucson .

Lori Dzicek and her squad of youth will be walking Tuesday morning to gather signatures. I appreciate them very much. These are the same young people we need to support on their trip to Washington, DC. The signature quota should be reached soon.
